Saving Spalding Pets

I am part of a volunteer group of people dedicated to rescuing animals awaiting death by "gas chamber" methods. These are the animals at one such shelter, the Spalding county animal shelter in Griffin, GA.

AO6-582 "Ally" Rottweiler-URGENT! RESCUED. THANK YOU CHRISSY AND ROTT N PITTY!

UPDATE-ALLY WAS TAKEN TO A VETERINARIAN BY RESCUE. HER HEART WAS ENLARGED FROM THE HEARTWORMS AND SHE HAD SEVERAL CANCEROUS MASSES IN HER CHEST, CAUSING HER GREAT BREATHING DIFFICULTY. ALLY WAS HUMANELY PUT TO SLEEP SURROUNDED BY PEOPLE WHO LOVED HER MORE IN LESS THAN A WEEK THAN SHE HAD EVER BEEN LOVED IN ALL HER LIFE. GODSPEED, ALLY. YOU WERE TRULY A SPECIAL GIRL! Poor Ally was dumped at the shelter by her owner because she had gotten old and sick and he did not want her anymore. Ally is an 8 year old PB Rottweiler, spayed and unfortunately heartworm positive. She is also EMACIATED. Her breathing seems labored, probably due to the heartworms. Despite all of her misfortune, Ally displays the beauty and kindness of a well-behaved Rottie. She is quiet and gentle and loves to her lay her head on you while you pet her. Ally desperately needs an angel to take her out of the shelter where she faces the gas chamber. She deserves to spend the time she has left in comfort and with dignity. Ally's last day is listed as March 22.
